Wood River Campground, Idaho

The 1st campground we stopped at was a dust bowl. We thought about spending the night but decided to push on. The next one down the road was a winner — paved road & sites. Nice!

Wood River - Forest Service Campground — Sawtooth National Recreation Area, near Ketchum, ID: Site #11 (29 RV sites total) - This site has: water nearby. Campground Notes: flush toilets • vault toilets • dump station nearby • river access • trails from campground • trails nearby • 6,360’ elevation. July 27th - August 1st. Miles driven: 190 (tap on mileage to see route).

Pros:
• Conveniently located near many hiking trails & town.
• Campground road & sites are paved (only one in area).
• All sites are non-reservable.
• Dump station nearby.
Cons:
• Noticeable highway noise.
• Day use area rented out to large groups for overnight camping.
