Bonus stop. One more night on the road before returning to Bend. We swung a tad out of our way so we could check out the area & lakes along Hwy 31 on the way home.
Goose Lake Campground - State Park, near New Pine Creek, OR: Site #28 (48 RV sites total) - This site has: electric & water hookups. Campground Notes: flush toilets • vault toilets • showers • dump station available • lake access • trails from campground • trails nearby • 4,668’ elevation. May 20th - 21st. Miles traveled: 103 miles (tap on mileage to see route & elevation change).
Pros:
• Well maintained campground.
• All sites non-reservable.
Cons:
• Pine Creek Trail around the campground could use some attention.Overall Experience:
"Backyard of the Day". WTF?? First hook-ups in 6 1/2 weeks. Well, they are here, so we are using them.
